Biography

Edith is a PhD student at the Department of Economics and Related Studies, supervised by Karen Mumford. She holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL), and a Master in Economics from Centro de Investigacion y Docencia Economicas (CIDE). After eleven years of working in the public and private sector, she decided to start her PhD focusing her research in Applied Microeconomics and Applied Econometrics. Among her professional experience, she has worked for the Mexican government in the Tax Administration Service, the Ministry of Economy and the Presidency of the Republic, and in the banking sector for Citigroup. In addition she has also collaborated as an international consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank.
