Reshaping the borders of the periodic table: current milestones and future directions in f-element chemistry

Luciano Barluzzi is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sussex, and a prospective candidate for a Royal Society University Research Fellowship. Luciano's research focuses on the synthesis and reactivity of f-element complexes, the stabilisation of unusual oxidation states and f-element-ligand multiple bonds, dinitrogen activation, and more broadly the role of covalency in f-element-ligand bonding.
