The supply of low carbon energy is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Major breakthroughs in clean energy technologies require advances in new materials and underpinning science. This talk highlights the use of advanced modelling methods in synergy with experimental work to gain atomic-scale insights into new materials for lithium batteries for electric cars and perovskite compounds for solar cells.

In addition to his research, Saiful will also mention his career path and his personal experiences of diversity, inclusion and public engagement.
