Drugs from Bugs: Biotechnical manufacturing of pharmaceuticals

An evening lecture organised jointly by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Central Yorkshire Section and the Society of Biology, Yorkshire Branch to be given by Dr John Little Freelance consultant on biopharmaceutical manufacturing and clinical development projects.  Currently interim Quality Control Manager at Cobra Biologic.

Dr Little has researched in the public and private sector developing immunodiagnostics and lecturing in chemical endocrinology, before heading Analytical Sciences at Renovo Ltd. Presently a freelance consultant working with small and large companies and other consultants on varied manufacturing and clinical development projects. His lecture will provide an introduction to the manufacturing of biotech drugs, including monoclonal antibodies and DNA vaccines, and consider how some of the Quality issues are controlled.

Light refreshments will be available from 18.00.
