Biography

Peter is a Reader in Health Economics at the Centre for Health Economics in the Health Policy team. He previously worked at University of Melbourne, La Trobe University and RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.

His research interests centre on the economics of healthcare markets including hospital waiting times, emergency department performance, competition in health care and doctors' labour markets. His work applies microeconomics and microeconometrics to health care systems. Peter is an Associate Editor of Health Economics, and he has a PhD in Economics (2009) from the University of York.
