Biography

As Research Centre Coordinator and Manager Anna works closely with the Director & Deputy Director, CHE Executive Group, research team leaders, Principal Investigators and others to support, coordinate and manage CHE’s activities. Anna is involved with developing and implementing policies and procedures, strategic development and planning and providing comprehensive support in relation to HR matters in the department. Anna also leads and manages a team of research support and administrative staff who provide effective support and underpin all of CHE’s departmental and research activities.

Anna graduated from the University of Ripon & York St John with a BA (Hons) in Theatre, Film, Television and Literature. After graduating she worked on various TV programmes for the BBC and ITV as a Production Coordinator/Manager. In 2007 Anna had a change in career direction and became a Grant Coordinator in the University of York's research office providing financial and funder regulation compliance for all UK Heath funded research grants at the University. In 2014 Anna was promoted to Team Leader and managed a team of Grant Coordinators and Officers who jointly managed a varied research grant portfolio for all the Life & Health Science departments at the University. Anna joined CHE in August 2021.
