Developing a broader QALY instrument to capture health and quality of life: the 'Extending the QALY' project

Abstract: A team from ScHARR, at the University of Sheffield, has been coordinating an international research project funded by a collaboration between the MRC and the EQ group to develop a new instrument to capture the benefits of interventions in health social care and for carers and across sectors. This seminar will discuss the work to date including the conceptual approach, the domain selection, face and psychometric validity evidence, plus plans for the valuation of the new instrument using Time Trade Off and DCE.
