Profile

Biography

Shuye Yu is a Research Fellow in Economic Evaluation at the Centre for Health Economics (CHE). He joined CHE in November 2025. His research includes trial-based and model-based economic evaluations and on applied microeconomics, with a focus on health, labour, population, and households.

Shuye holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Groningen, where his doctoral research examined the relationships between health and work. He also completed a joint PhD training programme at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research.

Before joining CHE, Shuye worked as a Researcher in Health Economics at the Health Economics Research Centre (HERC), University of Oxford. At HERC, he contributed to several economic evaluation projects, including studies on digital interventions for children’s mental health problems and on genetic testing and management for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
