York Against Cancer Challenge - Lyke Wake Walk

Posted on 4 July 2017

Members of the Jack Birch Unit took on the Lyke Wake Walk on 25 June 2017, a full West to East crossing of the North York Moors National Park.

On Sunday 25 June 2017, members of the Jack Birch Unit took on the Lyke Wake Walk to raise funds for York Against Cancer. Setting off at sunrise and finishing at sunrise, they covered the 41 mile distance across the North York Moors National Park from Osmotherley to Ravenscar. There are some very sore feet and muscles, but the weather was kind and they enjoyed an amazing experience. Well done to Ros Duke, her sister Caroline, Simon Baker, Tom Crighton, Jo Pearson and Jenny Southgate for crossing the finish line!
