Your desktop Novell Delivered Applications Launcher (NAL) is configured to your needs to show programs that you are most likely going to require, categorised according to the applications function.
There are more programs available than those listed in your Nal so if you have a requirement for software not shown it is worth contacting biolhelp before purchasing your own. In additon we have lists of other research groups who have purchased specialist software. you may be able to extend their licences or at the very least get to see the program before you are commited to purchase.
IT Services have a current software list of all applictions installed on centrally supported connections. It may be that the licence allows us to install it on the biology network if you require. EndNote & Reference Manager Personal Copy Purchases
It is possible for staff and students to purchase their own copy of the desktop packages EndNote or Reference Manager from Adept4Education (http://edustore.adeptscience.co.uk/) Adept Scientific’s software store which your Athens accounts should already have access to. Staff and students from institutions who are licensed through the Eduserv Chest Agreement for EndNote or Reference Manager will automatically be able to purchase at £55 + VAT by using this route.
