We know that opportunities arise for colleagues to temporarily take on different duties. Sometimes this is to provide temporary cover for existing work, alternatively it can mean picking up new tasks for a set period of time.
We've bought together our guidance on Temporary Responsibility Allowances and Secondments to provide a clearer unified policy. The decision to consolidate the guidance supports the University's commitment to creating an equitable, developmental, and motivating working environment which values the contributions of its employees.
The policy provides:
- greater clarity on whether a TRA or a Secondment is most appropriate.
- clear guidance on what to do before, during and after the arrangements
- the roles and responsibilities of the different colleagues involved
