Revised and enhanced policy, now live

The ill-health and sickness absence policy recognises the importance of rest and recuperation in promoting recovery whilst managing the negative impact of high levels of absence.

What’s new?

The policy and procedure have been streamlined and simplified as part of the HR and Finance Transformation Programme.

A key change is around the way we support colleagues with a phased return to work. Under the revised policy, colleagues are supported with up to a maximum 6 weeks of full pay as they transition back to work. Our updated approach provides individuals with the time and financial security to support a successful and flexible transition back to work. This change also provides a clearer and more consistent process, ensuring everyone receives the same high level of support.
