Providing a framework for ad hoc homeworking

We have introduced guidance on working from home in order to provide staff and their managers with a framework in which they can agree arrangements for working from home on an ad hoc basis.

The guidance covers:

  • Managing your work
  • Working hours
  • Availability and contact
  • Security and data protection
  • Equipment and expenses
  • Health and safety
  • Insurance

Working at home may not be an appropriate option for all staff, owing to the nature of their roles, and all requests to work from home must be agreed in advance with the manager.
