Caribbean Research Seminar in the North

The Department of History at the University of York, which has long been involved with the study of the Caribbean, is pleased to host the next meeting of the Caribbean Research Seminar in the North. Speakers will look at the sugar industry and the politics of identity in the recent past.

Bursaries may be available to cover the costs of travel within the UK for postgraduate students attending this event. To apply, please email Henrice Altink (henrice.altink@york.ac.uk) stating your topic, university and the name and address of your supervisor.

Registration is free. A reservation for dinner at a local restaurant will be made for 18:30. Please let us know if you are coming to the seminar, and if you would like to be included in the dinner reservation.
