'Voiceprints' to replace passwords and signatures

Prof. Peter French was interviewed on BBC World Service's 'Outside Source' programme in connection with Barclays Bank's introduction of speaker verification software for security applications.

The intention is to allow customers to access telephone banking services using voice biometrics technology in addition to conventional security measures.
