Short Courses at the NSC

The Norwegian Study Centre offers two types of short course. You can find out more about each course by clicking its name in the list below.

Courses for English students - These courses are of 2 weeks' duration and are for students of English at Norwegian universities and colleges. Most of the teaching will focus on English Literature, English Language in use, British Civilisation and, if wished, aspects of teaching English.

In-service Courses - These courses may be of 1 or 2 weeks' duration and are for teachers working in the Norwegian school system. These may be regular in-service courses, for individual colleges and universities who wish to supplement their own courses with a short course at the NSC. We also currently offer in-service courses for ENGLISH I and ENGLISH II, as part of Utdanningsdirektoratet’s programme for Videreutdanning.
