After the PhD - the Career.
From the moment you arrive to start your PhD the University and CWS staff are helping you to think about planning for your career when you have finished your PhD. This is achieved through a number of ways including University Career Days, CWS Career Days and training sessions available through the CWS postgraduate transferable skills programme and the Researcher Development Team.
Career Advisors are available through the University Careers Services to offer their support and guidance and we hold Introductory Days and 'drop in' sessions in the Centre specifically aimed at CWS students with past students attending to tell of their experiences in the job market.
To give an idea of the sort of careers some students go into after graduating we hope to build an extensive list to show the differing range of jobs available, but to start with, here are a few students' experiences (click on the names on the right).
