Gendering East/West International Conference 8-10 July 2009 Venue The Conference will be held at York, St John's, a central venue overlooking York's city walls and stunning Minster cathedral. It is on Lord Mayor's Walk (see city map and York St John's links below). Please note that the conference venue is not the Univeristy of York campus. Click on the 'York St John's' link below for directions to the conference venue, and for excellent maps of York and the campus. You are advised to print out or make a note of directions to the conference venue prior to your trip, and your Conference pack will contain campus and conference maps and directions. If using a taxi ask the driver to take you to the York St John's Reception on Lord Mayor's Walk. The conference is held mainly in the 'Fountains' area of the campus and will be well-signposted, or ask at Reception. If you get lost, or in emergency, the campus phone number is 01904 624624.
