Rachel is a Research Fellow (Trial Coordinator) in the York Trials Unit, with experience spanning oncology, child and adolescent mental health, and complex interventions.
She currently works on the delivery of child and adolescent mental health studies, alongside a feasibility study evaluating a women-only, gender- and trauma-informed residential rehabilitation pathway for drug-dependent women leaving prison.
Her background includes coordinating large-scale drug trials at UCL, psychological intervention trials for young people at the Anna Freud Centre, London and feasibility studies in the cancer and palliative care portfolio at the University of Leeds. She is particularly interested in strengthening evidence-based practice within mental health services and contributing to robust process evaluations.
Rachel recently completed an MSc in Health Research at the University of York, where she conducted a qualitative study exploring professionals’ experiences in supporting victims of domestic abuse, a project that combined her interest in the domestic abuse sector with qualitative research methodologies.
