Key role in antimicrobial resistance workshop

Held in Bengaluru from 14 - 18 December, the event was co-convened by Honorary Visiting Professor Seshadri Vasan. It focused on antimicrobial resistance to tuberculosis (TB), and explored issues from design and synthesis of novel drugs to preclinical evaluation. 50 experts from 35 organisations attended, including York’s PhD candidate Dr Suranga Dolamulla.
The event was supported by the Newton-Bhabha Fund, Public Health England and Royal Society of Chemistry.
