The SSPRD (Specialist Skills Post Registration Development) provision by the department is among seven finalists in the category of Education Provider of the Year Post Registration which was open to all universities across the UK which offer post registration courses.

Among a number of criteria the judges looked for a nurturing educational environment that develops the talent of qualified nurses and midwives as well as teaching methods that enrich students’ learning experience.

Gerri Kaufman, Programme Lead for our SSPRD programmes, said: "We are delighted to be nominated. It is a great achievement for the department as it demonstrates the breadth of courses on offer to a wide range of healthcare professionals from primary and secondary care to mental health and learning disability. Our programmes are delivered to a high standard by inspirational and motivating teaching staff."

The winner will be announced in May at an event in London hosted by the Student Nursing Times. More details can be found at https://studentawards.nursingtimes.net/.
