The Divide - film screening

A film based on the book The Spirit Level, authored by Kate Pickett and Richard Wilkinson.

This screening will be chaired by Karen Bloor, Research Theme Champion for Health and Wellbeing. Authors of The Spirit Level, Kate Pickett and Richard Wilkinson, will also be there to take questions after the film.

The Divide tells the story of seven individuals striving for a better life in modern day USA and the UK - where the top 0.1% owns as much wealth as the bottom 90%. By plotting these tales together, we uncover how every aspect of our lives is controlled by one factor: the size of the gap between rich and poor.
