Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Update

This one day study day is aimed at nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, midwives, social care workers and allied health professionals.

The day is designed to provide an update on the evidence-based management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and give experienced practitioners an opportunity to reflect on and share their knowledge, skills and experience in managing patients in this client group.

The day will include:

  • new developments in COPD and its management
  • evidence-based guidance for COPD
  • treatment options, self-management and self treatment in COPD
  • managing the acute exacerbation: home or hospital?
  • pulse oximetry and oxygen therapy.
