Masters in Applied Health Research

I decided to study for a Masters in Applied Health Research because I wanted to gain research-based skills and I thought that York was an excellent place to do this. I have a background in Psychology, but I am interested in health outcomes, so this was the perfect course as it allowed me to bridge a gap in my knowledge.

The teaching quality at York is very high and I was taught by world-renowned academics. Whilst at York I was awarded a PhD Fellowship at the University of Warwick. I am certain the course added strength to my application.

My success in winning the Departmental award for Outstanding Taught Postgraduate Academic Achievement is something that I am very proud of. I was really pleased to receive acknowledgement of my hard work.

I really enjoyed my whole time at York, I made a lot of great friends and met a lot of interesting people. I would strongly recommend the course to anyone considering it. The skills you will learn, the people you will meet and the experience you will have will be invaluable. On top of all that, York is a beautiful city to live in. My year in York is one that I will cherish.
