Welcome

From early to contemporary and from solo recitals to orchestras and music theatre, we offer the broadest musical selection in the region.  Our performers include internationally-known musicians as well as the University's own outstanding ensembles and choirs.  Leading into the summer, our Spring Festival (9 to 13 May) offers a feast of the music of today, featuring celebrations of the works of John Cage and of Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho as well as solo violin, vocal music and stand-up.  Acclaimed cellist Tim Lowe gives a recital on 16 May and rising stars on the folk scene Nish as Rish make a special visit to York on 8 June.  We finish the season in grand style on 27 June with the University Choir & Symphony Orchestra in York Minster  Follow the What's On  link to discover more, or email boxoffice@york.ac.uk if you have any questions!
