CAHR Postgraduate Open Day

CAHR students

Tuesday 28 April 2015, 12.00PM to 2.00pm

Human rights provides a dynamic and rewarding career path. It presents a wide range of possibilities from work in the UK to abroad at both large international and small grass-roots organisations. The Centre for Applied Human Rights (CAHR) offers one year post-graduate training (an MA in Applied Human Rights and an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Practice) that prepares you for a career in human rights. Our post-graduate students are drawn from a diverse array of disciplines and have many different backgrounds; they are mix of UK, European and international students. Our practice-oriented training programme can provide you with hands-on experience working with NGOs, the possibility of conducting fieldwork abroad (including organised trips to Malaysia and South Africa), and daily contact in the classroom with experienced human rights defenders.

We are holding a friendly, informal information session for anyone who is interested in our post-graduate courses. Come along, learn a bit about what we have to offer, meet some of our staff and current students, and ask any questions you have!

How do I sign up? Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. We also need to know numbers to ensure you don't go hungry! Please email cahr-infoevent@york.ac.uk confirming your interest and to let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.
