Welcome to the Planning Office at the University of York
The Planning Office, part of the Registrar's Department, supports the work of academic departments, is responsible for making statutory returns, and gives advice on statistics and management information.
The work of the Planning Office includes:
- Developing budgets and plans with academic and support departments, in liaison with other support areas, including:
- Producing statistics about the University and the HE sector.
- Responding to requests for data from staff, students and the public.
- Making statutory returns to HEFCE, HESA and TDA.
- Co-ordinating process improvement initiatives across the University
- Supporting the development of the University Plan (previously the Corporate Plan)
- Reporting performance against key performance indicators.
- Monitoring the University Plan through Corporate Planning Statements.
- Servicing University committees.
- Supporting some strategic estates projects and strategic information projects.
