IT Services win award for sustainability
Congratulations to IT Services who were awarded the Sustainable Digital Project or Initiative at the UCISA awards last week. By using equipment more efficiently in classrooms and reducing print wastage, they’ve helped us save an estimated 22 tonnes of CO2. They’ve also prevented 44 tonnes of IT equipment from going to landfill by recycling and refurbishing old laptops and PCs.

3. Is it okay to let someone else use your bank account?

Hot on the heels of National Student Money Week, HM Revenue and Customs are currently warning students to not inadvertently help criminals to commit fraud. Students are often targeted to become ‘money mules’, offering a chance to make quick cash in exchange for processing money through their bank account. However, this could have extremely serious consequences, including a criminal conviction. Find out the facts about becoming a money mule.

4. Did you come to York through Clearing?

We're looking for students to share their Clearing experiences via a blog, vlog, podcast or short filmed interview. If you want to get creative, earn a bit of extra cash and add something great to your CV, please fill out our Clearing volunteer form to register your interest. Deadline: tomorrow (19 March).

5. Voting is now open for the Students’ Union elections
