Building Bridges Through Conversations
YuCall, the University’s telephone fundraising campaign, happens twice a year and connects students with alumni for meaningful conversations. This most recently took place with an incredible team of student callers.
As one of the student fundraisers reflected:
“It’s fascinating to speak to alumni who have been where you are and to hear their stories. And of course, it’s all for an excellent cause.”
Alumni reminisced about their time at York, shared career advice, and found common ground with current students through their ambition to help future students.
Transforming Lives at York
Every pound raised in the telethon will go directly towards life-changing initiatives at the University of York:
- University of Opportunity: Supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access, thrive and succeed at York.
- Mentally Fit York: Funding mental health research at York and scholarships for Mental Health Nursing students.
- York Sanctuary Fund: Helping students and academics displaced by conflict to study at York.
The University would like to thank both the inspiring team of student callers, and alumni who took the time to share their stories, insights, and generosity to support future students at York.
