University of York Alumni Magazine article on YESI seminar

A Seminar jointly hosted by YESI and the Centre for URBan Research (CURB) at the University of York, which profiled a successful local community initiative, is featured in the latest issue of the University's alumni magazine.

yu magazine, the The University of York's Alumni publication has published an article in its February edition by Dr Daryl Martin, in which he provides an account of a seminar which was co-hosted by YESI and the Centre for URBan Research (CURB) towards the end of last term.

Dr Martin, Lecturer in the Sociology Department and Co-Director of CURB, recounts the seminar given by Anna Bialkowska, Chair of the Tang Hall Big Local project, one of many Big Local projects funded nationally via the National Lottery, as she and colleagues from City of York Council explained the effects and benefits of community-led initiatives and mapping of the selected area for the project, which is on the University of York's doorstep.
