From Profumo to Performance: New Perspectives on 1960s British Cinema

Friday 1 September 2017, 10.00AM to 6.30pm

Due to the large number of high-quality abstract submissions we received for our AHRC 1960s Project 'Histories and Legacies' conference (BFI Southbank, 6-7 September) the Department of Theatre, Film and Television will run an additional symposium on 1960s British cinema in York on September 1st 2017.

'From Profumo to Performance: New Perspectives on 1960s British Cinema', will be a companion event to our London conference, but will differ significantly in its scope and focus. The York symposium will showcase a wide variety of the latest cutting-edge academic research on all aspects of 1960s British cinema in order to fully engage with the sheer dynamism of this era in cinema history.
