TFTV PhD student shortlisted for national award

A film made by a PhD student in the Department of Theatre, Film and Television has been shortlisted for the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s (AHRC) 2016 Research in Film Awards.

The Department of Theatre, Film and Television is delighted that Romana Turina has been shortlisted for the prestigious Arts and Humanities Research Council’s (AHRC) 2016 Research in Film Awards.

Romana is a PhD student whose film Lunch with Family has been shortlisted from hundreds in the Inspiration Award public category. Her film is about her own journey into her ancestry.

The winning film will be announced at a ceremony at BAFTA in London on 10 November.
