Our final year students will be performing two plays by celebrated playwright and University of York graduate, Simon Stephens.

We are delighted to announce that our final-year BA students will be performing two of Simon Stephens’ most celebrated plays, Punk Rock and Motortown. Simon Stephens graduated from the University of York and had his first plays produced in the Drama Barn, before writing for National Theatre, the Royal Court, Manchester Royal Exchange and the Young Vic. This year, he won the Olivier Award for Best New Play for his stage adaptation of Mark Haddon’s novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Punk Rock and Motortown are being performed in repertory from 26 – 30 November. More information about the productions and how to book tickets will be available nearer the time. We are also planning for Simon Stephens to visit the department in October in the build-up to the productions. Keep an eye on the website for updates, or follow us on twitter @TFTV_YORK
