Artistic Director of COLAB Theatre Productions, Bertie Watkins, gives a workshop and talk about how to set up as a freelancer in the theatre industry and how to set up a theatre company.

COLAB Theatre Productions is an award-winning theatre company that focuses on creating 5* immersive/interactive theatre. Founder Bertie Watkins will give a two-and-a-half hour workshop looking at the legal side of setting up your own theatre company, how to go around registering your company and how to set up as a freelance theatre worker in the industry.

The session will cover the first steps you need to take when attempting to open your own theatre company and crack the industry. Bertie will provide a guide of the dos and don’ts of starting a company, show you how to fundraise, and how to get your name out there. He will also cover "finding you niche" and a bit about networking to find people who work like you do. The session will also cover some tips on immersive theatre produciton as well. 

There will be opporuntiy to ask questions in the last half hour of the event. As the capacity is limitedm you must sign up to the google form to join the event.
