Tuesday 4 December 2018, 10.00AM to - 4.00pm

The Immersive Experience Showcase will feature work from 32 Immersive Experiences research projects, which were jointly funded by AHRC and EPSRC. The projects explore the future of Immersive experiences, ranging from using VR to recreate the benefits of outdoor group singing, to exploring new immersive Circus experiences and allowing museum goers to virtually persue priceless ancient texts that would otherwise be off limits. You can find out more about the Immersive Experiences research projects on the Creative Economy Programme website.

The showcase programme will include prototype demonstrations, performances, short talks, knowledge sharing and plenty of time for networking.

In addition to the Immersive Experiences Showcase, from 18:00-21.30 Creative Media Labs and York Mediale will be presenting Baba Yaga a unique live immersive theatre experience. Followed by drinks reception and a chance to view other works from York Mediale - the City's inaugural Media Arts Festival
as part of its UNESCO designation as City of Media Arts. For more information and to RSVP for this event please contact damian.murphy@york.ac.uk.
