This exciting event will be a wonderful array of short presentations by and discussion with TFTV staff members, current students, recent graduates and external speakers. There will also be a range of demonstrations showcasing some of the department's cutting edge work up close.
All of these interventions will reflect on or demonstrate contemporary developments in the creative industries, the challenges and opportunities of the digital media ecology, and especially the ways in which digitisation is enabling all sorts of exciting convergences across theatre, film, television, games and interactive media.
Sandwiches will be served in the TFTV foyer from 1:15pm, with talks kicking off in the Theatre at 1:45pm. The demonstrations will take place in the Black Box and elsewhere during the two breaks. The very full afternoon will conclude with a drinks reception at 6.30pm.
The event is free but you need to book tickets here - the conference has been split in to two sessions: 1.15-3.30pm (with lunch included) and 4.00-6:30pm. If you want to attend all afternoon you will need book for both sessions.
