Masterclass with Screenwriter Tom de Ville

Speaker(s): Tom de Ville in conversation with Alison Peirse

Tom de Ville, a screenwriter on NBC's Hannibal. Tom created and wrote the horror anthology Urban Gothic for Channel Five when he was 23. Since then he has developed horror projects with horror luminaries such as George Romero and Sam Raimi. His first feature script The Quiet Ones was chosen as one of Variety’s top unproduced British scripts in 2007 and was picked up by Hammer Films and released in 2014. He recently directed Maisie Williams (Arya Stark, Game of Thrones) in his short film Corvidae.

Tom will focus on the process of storytelling and story development, as well as discussing the distinctions between writing for film and television, and in the UK and the States. Find out more about Tom de Ville.

Masterclass with Senior Games Designer Catherine Woolley

Speaker(s): Catherine Woolley in conversation with Alison Peirse

After graduating with a degree in Games Design, Catherine worked at EA Bright Light for two years, creating a series of interactive books for the Nintendo DS called Flips, before working on the final two titles in the Harry Potter game series. Catherine moved to Creative Assembly in 2011 where she worked on Alien: Isolation on the studio's console team. She has twice been named in MCV magazine’s ‘Top 100 Women in Games’ initiative and is now a Senior Designer at Creative Assembly.  Catherine was recently awarded a BAFTA Breakthrough BRIT 2015.
