Joseph Popper is a visual artist who examines space travel and other human technological endeavours by imagining future narratives and simulating fictional experiences.

Joseph will share the stories behind some of his projects, particularly The One-Way Ticket and The Same Face. In both projects he adopted a very hands-on approach to making film - using props, sets and being inventive with simple materials and camera rigs. Find out more about Joseph.

TFTV Graduates Andy Lake and Christian Smith

Lake and Smith began Humble Pie as a student sitcom for York Student Television, and have now developed it into a six part television series, which is described as an 'uplifting English sitcom, a love letter to youthful exuberance that proves once and for all that none of us are ready for real life'. Andy and Christian will screen the series, interspersed with talks and an audience Q&A. Andy plans to talk about budgeting for TV production, funding through kickstarter, how to get your scripts made, and how to get into your first job after graduating from TFTV.
