Our Clearing accommodation guarantee

If you're coming to York through Clearing or Adjustment, as soon as your academic place has been confirmed you will be able to make accommodation arrangements. We advise you to apply for accommodation as soon as you can.

We aim to provide University owned, managed or approved accommodation for all new students who request it and we're confident that we'll be able to help you find a room. Our dedicated Accommodation Team will be on hand during the entire Clearing and Adjustment period to offer you advice and support. Please be aware that it can take up to 48 hours for our online accommodation system to update after you receive your You@York login details.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact us on accommodation@york.ac.uk - we're here to help.

Apply for accommodation

If you accept your course offer through UCAS Track before Sunday 25 July and apply for accommodation by Tuesday 27 July, you'll be eligible for our accommodation guarantee. We allocate based on the date of your application, so it's important to get this sorted as soon as you can.

If you accept your course offer through UCAS Track between Sunday 25 July and Sunday 1 August, you can apply for accommodation up to 4pm on Tuesday 3 August.

Although our current accommodation guarantee ends on Tuesday 27 July, we expect to have a guarantee for early Clearing students. You should apply as soon as possible as we take application dates into account.

Our application system is closed while we are preparing our system for A Level results from Tuesday 3 to Tuesday 10 August.

We will re-open at 8.30am on A level results day on Tuesday 10 August.

We expect to be able to offer an accommodation guarantee to our Clearing applicants. Details of this clearing guarantee will be on our website before A level results are published on Tuesday 10 August.
