On arrival in the UK for the first time

Your visa letter, which accompanies your temporary 30 day visa sticker in your passport, will confirm if you need to register with the police, as will the BRP visa card which is collected in the UK.  Citizens who are admitted to the UK for more than 6 months will usually be required to register with the police if they are from one of the countries listed on the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) website.

Applications should be made with Fulford Road police station using the online registration form. When the certificate is ready for collection North Yorkshire Police will send an email. There are maps giving directions to Fulford Road in the Student Hub in Market Square.
