Module aims

  • To study a discrete, clearly defined topic, in a sustained and cumulative way
  • To gain experience of special-subject study, prior to stages two and three
  • To use and combine the methods, skills and approaches acquired in terms 1 and 2 of stage one

Module learning outcomes

By the end of the module, students should have acquired:

  • A detailed knowledge of a clearly defined art historical subject
  • A knowledge of its literature
  • Experience of the diverse and multifaceted nature of art historical enquiry
