This aim of this module is to enable students to identify and reflect upon their personal learning needs and opportunities to assist them in developing their practice with support from their mentor in order to achieve competence in relation to the agreed NMC competencies and essential skills clusters for Stage Two.
Module learning outcomes
At the end of the module, students will be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge and skills consistent with the NMC requirements for Stage Two.
Keep accurate records of their achievements in practice.
Identify and meet their learning needs in relation to practice experience in different settings.
Demonstrate safe practice in relation to a number of nursing skills associated with the NMC Essential Skills Cluster requirements; organisational aspects of care and nutrition and fluid management in the context of primary care.
