International Study Centres (ISC) are short summer courses open to York students of all disciplines and all levels of study (including postgraduates). You will travel in a group of around 20 students from York and spend around two weeks exploring a topic and visiting areas of interest. No prior knowledge of the subjects is required.
Our students' stories may help you to decide if an ISC is right for you. Sophie wanted to experience the culture of another country. The ISC in Cape Town 2019 suited her as she learnt about the history, politics and culture of South Africa and, as the ISC was only two weeks, it also meant she wasn't away from her family for too long. Fahmida went on the India ISC in 2018. She was apprehensive to apply at first but the trip has changed her perspective on life in general.
Applications open on Friday 29 November 2019 close on Wednesday 12 February 2020 at 1pm.
