Student Projects Fund

This fund supports student activity by organised groups within the University. These may include YUSU and GSA, the colleges, sports clubs, societies, volunteering groups, and other initiatives. Units within the University can apply for student-facing activity, such as specific projects associated with Together York

Is my group eligible?

We'll support projects that:

  • make opportunities equally accessible for students
  • contribute to the work of the University locally, nationally or internationally
  • contribute to student mental health or wellbeing
  • create an active creative community on campus and beyond
  • create physical spaces that allow students to fulfill their potential.

You can apply for funding to develop projects or for the organisational running of your project.

How to apply

The Students Project Fund Panel has decided that, following the first round of allocations, the remainder of the monies put aside for the Fund will be directed towards projects supporting meaningful and vibrant student life in the extraordinary circumstances of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Panel has already identified priority projects with wide applicability across the student body, so there will be no further opportunities to bid for support from this particular Fund. You may wish to consider applying for support for your initiative through YuFund instead.
