In response to the coronavirus pandemic and the financial impact it is having on our students, the University is reopening the Emergency Student Support Fund (ESSF) for current students who need immediate financial support during these challenging times.
The ESSF, which is being supported by the University as well as through donations from alumni, friends and supporters, will provide support to our students who may be facing immediate issues resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.
Funding is available to support students with financial needs related to accommodation, food and living costs, and IT equipment for online learning. Bursaries up to a value of £500 are available.
All students on a degree-awarding undergraduate or postgraduate programme at York are eligible to apply.
Please note that funding is not guaranteed. Prioritisation will be made on the basis of applicants’ individual needs.
The current round of the Emergency Student Support Fund opened to applications on Wednesday 21 April (12 noon BST). The deadline for applications is Tuesday 27 April (12 noon BST).
