The Technician Commitment is a university and research institution initiative, supported by the Science Council and the Gatsby Charitable Foundation's Technicians Make It Happen campaign. It aims to ensure visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability for technicians working in higher education and research, across all disciplines.

One year since its launch, 75 institutions across the UK have signed up to transform the way they support their technical staff – these institutions represent more than 50% of UK universities and a number of world-leading institutions.

We're proud to be one of the early signatories, and last year our Technician Commitment team were presented with a plaque to recognise our progress as a signatory of the Technician Commitment:
