This year's conference theme is 'assessment and feedback'.

He has been writing about the theory and practice of assessment in higher education for 25 years. He is a National Teaching Fellow and has Honorary Doctorates from several universities, including from the University of Utrecht, for his contribution to the development of university teaching worldwide.
