Requirements to teach

Those wanting to teach must complete:

Introduction to learning and teaching
A one-day course for PhD students who are teaching or planning to teach.

Workshop courses to develop your teaching skills.

York Learning and Teaching Award (YLTA)

This accredited nine month programme is for researchers wanting to develop their teaching skills ahead of an academic career in higher education.

Learning and Teaching Forum workshops

A series of lunchtime workshops open to all involved in teaching and learning support, including postgraduates who teach. Run by the Academic Support Office.

Academic integrity

All postgraduates who teach, as both students and teachers, should be aware of issues around academic integrity.
