When negotiating studentship contracts and/or confidentiality agreements you should contact Sue Final in the first instance. You must have an agreement in place before the studentship starts and you will be assigned an Agresso code to pay their costs from.
A different code for each studentship is required so the university can identify funding streams from different types of funders for defined purposes. The type of studentship award will determine how many codes will be required. For example, if your studentship is a CASE award you will have at least two codes. This is because you will have funding from two different funders, typically a Research Council and an industrial sponsor.
Doctoral Training Grants awarded annually will be treated as separate awards so you will receive a new code each academic year for the grant starting in that year.
