Staff time

When engaging with an external organisation it is important that the effect on workload be considered, and appropriate staff resources be factored in when scoping and negotiating the project so that not only can the project be delivered, but that there is no adverse effect on an individual academic’s or on a Department’s workload. It is mandatory to discuss a project with the Head of Department in order to minimise any unintended risks.
